1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the King's Harbour Master Portsmouth that Seabed Sampling Operations will be conducted in the maintained areas of the Tidal Basin within Footprint of the Portsmouth Naval Base from 8 to 10 August 2023. 2. The contractor for these minor sampling works will be Ecospan Environmental Ltd using the white catamaran “COASTAL SURVEYOR” (LOA 7.9m). For those samples requiring the use of the vibrocore, the vessel will be securely moored at each location using a three-anchor system. The vessel will display the appropriate signals when conducting survey operations, working daily during daylight hours only.
COASTAL SURVEYOR 3. Mariners are requested to keep a good lookout and pass at slow speed while sampling works are being conducted. The vessel will maintain a listening watch on VHF Ch 11 throughout operations. 4. KHM Harbour Control will be kept informed of work in progress and will de-conflict movements with other marine traffic. They can be contacted on VHF Ch 11 or by telephoning 02392 723689 for the latest information. 5. Cancel this LNTM on 12 August 2023.
