1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN jointly by the King's Harbour Master Portsmouth, the
Cowes Harbour Master and the Harbour Master ABP Southampton that approximately 12
classic yachts, ranging from 14m to 64m in length, will be taking part in the Richard Millie
Cup from 17-23 June 2023.
2. The yachts will be entering the Solent from the West on Saturday 17 June having
completed a passage race from Dartmouth. Racing in the Solent will then take place on
Tuesday 20, Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 June starting at approximately 1030 BST
each day.
3. On Friday 23 June, the yachts will be taking part in a passage race to Le Havre.
The start time and direction will be weather dependent and there will be multiple starts to
facilitate a pursuit style race.
4. All racing will start and finish on the Royal Yacht Squadron start line.
5. Please note, during the event there will be three large yachts using the Cowes
anchorage, all mariners are requested to keep well clear of the anchored yachts and to
pass with minimal wash.
