Provide the support we need, when we need it, anywhere in the world

What is the Logistics branch?

  • The Logistics branch is the heartbeat of the Royal Navy. It keeps us ticking. Across every service, our people rely on logisticians for vital support
  • From the Chefs who cook three meals a day, to the Logistics Officers who coordinate the delivery of essential supplies, logisticians keep us running smoothly
  • We’re a global organisation of around 30,000 people, and you’ll be part of the team responsible for providing everything they need to do their jobs
  • Whichever service you choose, you’ll be hugely important to your crewmates. You may be the Writer who offers HR support, or the person who provides the hospitality that makes the ship feel like a home from home
  • Whether you excelled academically, have civilian experience, or are just starting out, you’ll need dedication and a sense of adventure to be part of one of our most active branches

What's it like?

Whatever you choose, from catering to hospitality, supply chain to HR, or even a leadership role as a Logistics Officer, you’ll be relied upon by your crewmates. Relied upon to help them do their jobs, and relied upon when they want to feel at home. It’s a level of responsibility you won’t find in many jobs, with rewards that are just as hard to come by. You’ll travel the world as an essential part of our nation’s maritime presence, providing what we need to get the job done, from meals to missiles, and everything in between. It might sound like an enormous task. It is. But you’ll receive the constant training you need, so you’re always progressing, ready for your next operation.
