1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the King's Harbour Master Portsmouth, that a foiling kite board event will take place from Monday 18 September to Sunday 24 September 2023 off Southsea / Eastney beach.
2. There will be approximately 150 foiling kite boards competing, with flights of 30 boards competing at any one time. The other flights will either be making their way to/from the race area or be ashore.
3. Racing starts at 1200 each day and will be complete by 1800. The racing will take place to the east of the submerged barrier and the west of the Winner Bank, and they will be launching from Eastney Beach.
4. There will be a committee boat (a yellow 8.5m catamaran) and five other RHIBS as race management vessels, which will be identified by RYA flags. There will be an additional three support craft identified by ‘Marshall’ flags.
5. Mariners are advised that there will be potentially 50 coach boats / RHIBS in the vicinity supporting their teams. These vessels will be berthed in Gunwharf Quays Marina and transit to the area daily.
6. Mariners are requested to keep a good lookout and pass well clear of the foiling kite boards and the support craft during this event.
