1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Queen’s Harbour Master Portsmouth that from 0600 on 9 September 2016 to 14 September 2016 a military exercise will be taking place in the Browndown Amphibious Exercise Area.

2. During the exercise, two anchorage locations will be used, primarily just off Browndown Beach 50 46.90N 001 01.18W or secondary, in event of poor weather, in Osborne Bay 50 45.57N 001 14.82W.

3. The craft being used in the operations are two Mexe Flotes (self propelled pontoon barges) each 40m LOA callsign “MIKE 1” and “MIKE 2” supported by a Work Boat (15m LOA) callsign “WB43” and a Combat Support Boat (9m LOA) callsign “CSB52”.

4. Mariners are requested to pass at slow speed and give a wide berth to operations in both the Browndown Beach vicinity and Osborne bay anchorage site. QHM Harbour Control is to be informed of any immediate concerns on VHF Ch 11 or by telephoning 02392 723694.
