1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Queen’s Harbour Master Portsmouth that the Environment Agency will be conducting several one day hovercraft surveys on the mudflats around the Northern area of Portsmouth Harbour during the summer period.

2. It is intended for the hovercraft to be operational within the harbour on the 4 & 5 August 2016 between the hours of 0430 - 0930. The purpose of the survey is to carry out macroalgae analysis to assess the ecological condition of the harbour.

3. The vessel conducting this task will be a small, orange coloured, 2 man hovercraft “INSPECTOR B”. Work will be carried out during daylight hours and is planned to coincide with low water. The vessel will be listening to VHF Channel 11 throughout, and will keep well clear of all other craft using the harbour. It is planned to launch and recover the hovercraft from Wicor Marine in the Fareham Creek area.

4. QHM Harbour Control will be kept informed of the vessel’s area of operations and may be contacted on VHF Ch 11 or by telephoning 02392 723689 for the latest information.

5. LNTM 34/16 is duly superceded.
