1.  NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Queen's Harbour Master Portsmouth that maintenance and replacement of Mooring Piles belonging to Gosport Cruising Club within Weevil Lake on the western side of Portsmouth Harbour will be carried out by Baker Trayte Marine, commencing on 1 September 2016 and is expected to last no more than 24 days.

2. The piles involved are those in Weevil Creek, the trots immediately adjacent to Burrow Island and round to the Millenium bridge. The vessel being used for this operation will be the crane barge “BT 230” operated by Baker Trayte Marine with the tug “VOE 3” used for positioning and communications. The operation will involve the removal and replacement of 33 damaged mooring piles and will primarily be conducted 3 hours either side of high water. No obstruction to the navigation channel is envisaged. 

3. Works will to be conducted during daylight hours only. Mariners are requested to keep a good lookout and pass at slow speed while piling operations are in progress. 

4. QHM Harbour Control will be kept informed of the work in progress and may be contacted on VHF Ch 11 or by telephoning 023 92 723689 for the latest information.

5. Cancel this LNTM on 30 September 2016.
