MAINTENANCE DREDGING – PORT SOLENT APPROACHES

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the King’s Harbour Master Portsmouth that routine maintenance dredging will be conducted by ML (UK) Dredging Ltd within the Port Solent Approaches, commencing on the 12 February 2024 with completion due by early / mid April 2024. The works are being conducted 24 hours a day. 

2. The vessels conducting this task are the “Boxer” (Backhoe dredger) which will display the appropriate signals from the COLREGS when conducting operations.  Spoil from the dredging vessel will be loaded into one of two self-propelled barges, “Split Two” or “Split Three” for disposal to the NAB Spoil Ground.

3. KHM Harbour Control may be contacted on VHF Ch 11 or by telephoning 02392 723689 for the latest information. The vessels’ movements will be de-conflicted from other movements by KHM Harbour Control in the usual manner.
