IFA2 – ROUTE MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS – Stage 4

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN jointly by the King’s Harbour Master Portsmouth and the Harbour Master ABP Southampton that as part of the IFA2 Interconnector Project, guard duties are being carried out in the Eastern Solent by Seagard Ltd on behalf of National Grid Ventures between 26 February 2024 and approximately 28 September 2024.

2. The area is approximately 1.5 NM SSW of Gilkicker Point (as indicated on the below chartlet) by the Red Dot.

3. Repair operations carried out by Prysmian have concluded and project now enters guard phase to protect asset whilst licences are acquired for cable protection. 

4. Guard operations will be ongoing to protect the area of the cable repair at sea. The Guard Zone will be marked primarily by guard vessel 'GV DILIGENT' (IMO 7229743: MMSI: 232007970, Call Sign MJZK7), 'BJ P950' (MMSI:232014146, Call Sign MVXZ9), F/V 'NICOLE M' (P23) (MMSI: 232023543, Callsign MFTT2), 'DR LAPWING' (IMO 7340734: MMSI: 232005550, Call Sign 2DFK) or GV 'ACCORD' (MMSI: 234219000, Call Sign 2WEM).

5. Vessels involved in guard operations will monitor VHF Channels 11, 12 & 16 as necessary and more information can be requested from KHM Harbour Control using 02392 723694.     

6. LNTM 33/24 is hereby superseded.
