FLOOD RISK ASSESSMENT SURVEY OPERATIONS APRIL – AUGUST 2024

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN jointly by the King's Harbour Master Portsmouth and the Harbour Master Langstone that bathymetric survey operations will be conducted along the south coast from Selsey Bill through to Gilkicker Point between April to August 2024 operating in the Portsmouth / Southsea locality from 5 April 2024 onwards (Daylight hours only).

2. The contractor for these survey works is A-2-Sea Solutions Ltd working on behalf of New Forest District Council and Channel Coastal Observatory, with operations being conducted using the multi-cat vessel “WHITE RIBBON” (LOA 7.9m) and or FPV “MORVEN” (LOA 19.8m). Whilst surveying, the vessels will be operating at between 3-8 knots and close inshore up to the Mean High Water Line.

3. Mariners are requested to keep a good lookout and pass the vessel with a wide berth and at slow speed.

4. KHM Harbour Control will be kept informed of the work in progress and can be contacted on VHF Ch 11 or by telephoning 023 92 723689 for the latest information.

5. Cancel this LNTM on 15 September 2024.
