1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Queen's Harbour Master Portsmouth that Unmanned Survey Vessel (USV) trials will be conducted in the upper most area of Portchester Creek between 21 and 23 February 2022.

2. USV operations will be conducted in daylight hours only with a safety vessel in attendance. The USV, “CT6”, is a grey modified mono hull (LOA 6.2m)  which will be supported and towed, when required by a blue mono hulled vessel “KEV4” (LOA 6.2m) acting as safety boat.. “CT6” will be remotely controlled, with the remote operator following the International Rules for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGS) at all times

3. The trials will focus on the area between Trafalgar Wharf and Port Solent, to the north of the navigation channel the coordinates being:

a. 50°50.78N – 001°06.68W                    
b. 50°50.68N – 001°06.68W   
c. 50°50.68N – 001°06.42W                    
d. 50°50.78N – 001°06.42W

4. Trials will involve a variety of manoeuvres and equipment tests. Whilst within Portsmouth Harbour the vessels speed will not be above 10 knots taken as "speed through the water". In line with our General Direction Number 1/18.

5. The safety vessel will be listening on VHF Ch 11. 

6. Cancel this LNTM on 26 February 2022.
