1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Queen's Harbour Master Portsmouth that Autonomous Vessel (AV) trials will be conducted in the Stokes Bay during the period 28 February to 04 March 2022. 

2. During the trials the Vessel will be remotely controlled, with the operator, Call sign ‘MADFOX’, following the International Rules for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGS) at all times.  

3. Trials will take place from approximately 1000 to 1500 on each day in the Stokes Bay area as shown below. ‘MADFOX’ will only be operated in autonomous mode when in the area.

4. The ‘MADFOX’ controller will be listening on VHF Ch 11, Ch 12 and 16. Where possible, trials vessels will maintain a 200-metre separation from other craft, and trial runs will be modified or aborted if a close-quarters situation is developing.  

5. Cancel this LNTM on 5 March 2022.
