SOLENT MARITIME FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT REPLACES SOLFIRE EMERGENCY PLAN

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN jointly by the Queen’s Harbour Master Portsmouth, Portsmouth International Port’s Harbour Master, ABP Southampton’s Harbour Master and Cowes Harbour Commission Harbour Master that the SOLFIRE Pan Solent emergency plan will be withdrawn from service by those Harbour Authorities at 0001 Friday 29 April 2022.

2. The SOLFIRE Pan Solent Emergency Plan will be replaced by the SOLENT MARITIME FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT which will come into service at 0001 29 April 2022. The new framework fully integrates with the Local Resilience Forum emergency structures and covers all incidents and emergencies, including security issues. Responses will be led, according to the type and scale of incident, by the most appropriate agency, with support provided by other agencies as necessary.

3. The reporting process for incidents and emergencies remains the same I.E. through the HMCG and/or appropriate Harbour Authority.
