1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Queen's Harbour Master Portsmouth that an Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV) trial will be conducted in Stokesbay between 1 and 3 March 2022.

2. ASV operations will be conducted in daylight hours only with a safety vessel and support vessel in attendance. The USV, “C-CAT-3”, is a yellow multi hull (LOA 3.02m) vessel which will be supported and towed, when required by a grey multi hull vessel “Valkyrie 6” (LOA 11.0m). The safety boat “KEV 4” (6.20m) is a blue mono hulled vessel.

3. The Trials area will be off Stokes Bay and is bounded by the co-ordinates below, the box for which is depicted on the chartlet:

A. 50 46.684N – 001 09.463W
B. 50 46.362N – 001 09.647W
C. 50 46.765N – 001 11.398W
D. 50 47.085N – 001 11.196W

4. Trials will involve a variety of manoeuvres and equipment tests. Whilst within Portsmouth Harbour and Within 0.5 nautical miles of the line of mean low-water springs in any part of the Dockyard Port of Portsmouth outside the Harbour the vessels speed will not be above 10 knots taken as "speed through the water". In line with our General Direction Number 1/18.

5. The safety vessel will be listening on VHF Ch 11. 

6. Cancel this LNTM on 04 March 2022.
