1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN jointly by the Queen's Harbour Master Portsmouth and the Harbour Master Portsmouth International Port that on Sunday 27 March 2022 at approximately 2100, a short pyrotechnic display will take place from the barge Uncle Bill. The barge will be located approximately 80m North West of Flathouse Quay. It is expected that the firework display will last approximately 5 minutes.

2. The barge will be positioned within the orange box detailed in the diagram above, dependant on the wind conditions on the day. An exclusion zone (red) is established between 2030 and 2130, or as amended by QHM on VHF 11, whereby no unauthorised vessels are to pass west of line between No 3 Berth Dolphin and Fountain Lake Jetty.

3. The display is to welcome the new Brittany Ferry Salamanca into service on her first operational call from Portsmouth.

4. Portsmouth International Port staff will monitor the exclusion zone and will be monitoring VHF 11. For further information on the evening contact Portsmouth Harbour Radio VHF 11.

5. Mariners are advised to remain clear of this activity and be aware of the impact of pyrotechnics on their night vision and hearing. A sécurité broadcast will be made by QHM prior to, and on completion of the event. Ferry movements will be taking place during and immediately after the fireworks.
