LNTM No 19/19

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Queen's Harbour Master Portsmouth that as a requirement of the IFAC2 Cable Project, underwater works will take place to lay mattress protection over existing cables at the route crossing points in vicinity of No Man’s Land Fort in the eastern Solent.  The works which will last approximately seven days once started, are scheduled to take place during a period between 3rd and 17th March 2019. 

2. The works are being carried out by the 90 metre Tug/Supply Ship “IEVOLI IVORY” (IMO 9703368; MMSI 247356400; Call Sign IBKP).

3. The mattresses will be laid in two positions:

50 44.25N 001 04.98W

50 44.36N 001 05.33W

4. Due to the restriction in the IEVOLI IVORY’s ability to manoeuvre when conducting under-water operations, mariners are reminded of their responsibilities under the COLREGS and are requested to remain at a safe distance (500 metres) when passing.

5. The vessel will maintain a listening watch on VHF Channels 11 (QHM Harbour Control) and 12 (VTS Southampton) throughout.  QHM and VTS can be contacted over VHF or by calling 023 9272 3694 (QHM) or 023 8048 8800 (VTS).

6. Cancel this LNTM on 19 March 2019.
