1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Queen’s Harbour Master Portsmouth that remedial maintenance work on the Wave Breaker on the eastern side of Haslar Marina Gosport will commence from 2 May 2017 and is expected to complete 10 May 2017. The work will occur daily between 0700-1700. The contractor for the work is Walcon Marine Ltd. 2. The vessel conducting this task will be the “WALCON WIZARD” (LOA 24.0m), a self propelled barge and assisted by a second barge, the “BAGHDAD” (LOA 25.0m). All appropriate signals from the COLREGS will be observed when operations are being carried out. 3. The works involve the refurbishment of the wave screen and the placing of approximately 48 rock bags at the base of the screen to re-enforce the structure and thus provide greater protection to the marina. Diving operations will be undertaken to assist in this process. 3. QHM Harbour Control will be informed of the vessels daily operations and may be contacted on VHF Ch 11 or by telephoning 02392 723689 for more information. 4. Cancel this LNTM 18 May 2017.
