PLYMOUTH LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS 038/24

DEPLOYMENT OF SCIENTIFIC EQUIPMENT

INFORMATION

1. This notice is for information from the King’s Harbour Master, Plymouth pursuant to the Dockyard Port of Plymouth Order 2020.
   
   
2. Three seabed frames will be deployed on the 22nd April 2024 for approximately 10 days at the below locations:
   
   a. 1 x Seabed frame, 50° 20.893’N, 004° 09.536’W - IVO Bridges Channel
   b. 2 x Seabed frames, 50° 20.173’N, 004° 10.108’W - IVO Queen’s Ground Buoy
   
   
3. The frames will be on the seabed reducing the depth by no more than 60 cm.
   
   
4. The deploying vessel will be restricted in her ability to manoeuvre. Appropriate shapes and lights will be displayed as required by International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea.
   
   
5. Mariners are advised to keep well clear during deployment and whilst in position.
