PLYMOUTH SURVEY OPERATIONS – INFORMATION

1. This notice is issued for information by the King’s Harbour Master, Plymouth pursuant to the Dockyard Port of Plymouth Order 2020.
2. Royal Navy vessel HMS HURWORTH will conduct survey operations on the main deep-water channel, Plymouth Sound from 12 February for approximately three days.
3. The vessel will maintain a listening watch on VHF Ch.14 and communicate with Longroom Port Control throughout.
4. Surveying will include the deployment of towed sensors and at times will be Restricted in her Ability to Manoeuvre; appropriate shapes will be displayed as required by International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea.
5. Mariners are requested to keep a minimum distance of 400m from HMS HURWORTH and minimise wash.
