1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Queen's Harbour Master Portsmouth, that a round the Isle of Wight wing foiling event will take place on Thursday 23 September 2021.
2. Four wing foilers will be participating in the circumnavigation. The foilers will be accompanied by five 8m RHIBS which will have a day glo orange square from the rear structure. The lead support vessel will be ‘FOIL SAFETY’. A listening watch will be maintained on VHF Ch16 and Ch72 throughout.
3. The three persons will have a handheld kite each with an inflatable edge. They will stand on a short board which will have foils underneath, enabling them to achieve high speed as illustrated below:
4. The route is from Cowes in a westerly direction, leaving the Isle of Wight to port. The event will start at approximately 1130 and will complete by approximately 1800 at Cowes.
5. Mariners are requested to keep a good lookout and pass well clear of the foilers and the support craft during their circumnavigation of the Isle of Wight.
