1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Queen's Harbour Master Portsmouth, that a round the Isle of Wight row will take place on Monday 30 August.
2. One, five person rowing boat will be participating in the circumnavigation. The boat will be accompanied by two yachts acting as individual support craft. The lead support vessel will be ‘FLAME of ANOR’, which is a 12m sailing yacht, MMSI number 235008331. There will also be another support vessel, ‘POPEYE’ a 6m cabin cruiser. A listening watch will be maintained on VHF Ch16 and Ch72 throughout.
3. The route is from Gilkicker Point, in an easterly direction, leaving the Isle of Wight to starboard. The row will start at 0400 and will complete by approximately 1700 at Gilkicker.
4. Mariners are requested to keep a good lookout and pass well clear of the rowers and the support craft during their circumnavigation of the Isle of Wight.
