1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Queen's Harbour Master Portsmouth, that a Round the Isle of Wight Swim will take place on Monday 23 August.
2. One swimmer will be participating in the circumnavigation. The swimmer will be accompanied by two kayakers acting as individual support craft. The lead support vessels will be ‘SWIM CONTROL / EL TIBURON’, which is a 44ft sailing yacht, MMSI number 235062749. There will also be a 6m safety RHIB. A listening watch will be maintained on VHF Ch16 and Ch72 throughout.
3. The swim route is from Seaview on the Isle of Wight, in a westerly direction. The swim starts at 1100 and will complete by 1100 on Tuesday 24 August.
4. All support craft will display the International Code Flag ‘ALPHA’ while escorting the swimmer.
5. Mariners are requested to keep a good lookout and pass well clear of the swimmer and the support craft during their circumnavigation of the Isle of Wight.
