PLYMOUTH LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS 046/19

ROV OPERATIONS - INFORMATION

1. This notice is issued for information by the Queen’s Harbour Master Plymouth.

2. During the period 16 Sept – 27 Sept 2019, trials will be carried out of a Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV). Trials will be conducted within the Dockyard Port of Plymouth in Cawsand Bay.

3. The ROV will be launched, operated and recovered by vessel callsign ‘ZERO’. The support vessel will display appropriate lights and shapes as required by the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, and will monitor VHF Channel 14 throughout.

4. Longroom Port Control Station will regulate the operations keeping other water users advised of the area of operations. Mariners are requested to pass at a safe distance from the ROV and support vessel and to minimise wash.
