BRNC Dartmouth has officially opened their new and improved physical development facilities.

Captain Bray RN declared the new facility open and participated in the first of 5 hourly ‘Workouts of the Day’ (WODs) completed by members of the BRNC staff and Officer Cadets.

The weights room and cardiovascular (CV) training facilities have had new and updated equipment added to improve the fitness capabilities of personnel.

A full renovation of the functional suite has been carried out, including 3 new functional rigs, monster storage racking, and functional CV equipment, as well as new impact flooring.

The makeover will allow more personnel to use the gym facilities with the increase in available equipment and staff are now able to deliver functional fitness sessions.

The WOD completed by Cpt Bray and BRNC personnel was a partner chipper that put each person through their paces to compete for the best time of the day.

CPOPT Kier Woodhead added, ‘A big thank you to all the BRNC staff who helped out behind the scenes to make these facilities a reality, as well as the PT staff who worked hard to prepare the new suites ready for everything to be installed.’
