HMS Sultan 24 hour fitness suite receives uplift

Storyline: Physical Training

The new Commanding Officer, HMS Sultan, Captain Mark Hamilton, was invited to reopen the Sports And Recreation Centres 24-hour suite, following a recent refurbishment.

The facility has had a substantial uplift, thanks in part to the generosity of Greenwich Hospital, with new flooring, squat racks, concept bikes and leg machines installed.

Leading Physical Training Instructor Caddy said: “LPT Cook has done a fantastic job in leading the project, securing a substantial grant from Greenwich Hospital, to see all the resistance machines, racks/ plates and flooring renewed.”

“We are always looking to improve the lived experience of our users and, as the main area which service personnel and their families based at Sultan can come to for independent workouts, it’s used not just during the week, but also at weekends, so these changes will have a massive impact.”
