Yeovilton all set to control the skies for the Royal Navy

Congratulations to our four newly qualified Air Traffic Controllers.

The Royal Navy has added four personnel to its team at Royal Naval Air Station (RNAS) Yeovilton as Sub Lieutenants Paul Huggett and Jack Roberts, Lieutenant Adam Figgins and Chief Petty Officer Peter Talbot receive their Certificates of Competency and are now fully proficient Air Traffic Controllers (ATC).

From now on as they embark on their careers in ATC it won’t be just the space above them that they are directly responsible for but for a 30 miles radius. This could be anywhere, with the military or civilian in extreme weather, deployed at sea and potential conflict to consider.

Commodore Nick Tindal, Commanding Officer of RNAS Yeovilton presented the Certificates of Competence and said ; “Well done, your success a testament to you and the training team. You will become part of a deployable team Worldwide, providing critical support.”

Lives will be, quite literally in their hands in this highly skilled role with the Royal Navy.

BZ Gentlemen we wish you every success.
