Introduction
1. Mariners are advised that the King’s Harbour Master Clyde has made the following General Direction under the Clyde Dockyard Port of Gareloch and Loch Long Order 2011.
2. The King’s Harbour Master (KHM) Clyde directs that any linesmen and boatmen operating within the jurisdiction of Clyde Dockyard Port (CDP) are to be trained in line handling duties to a suitable standard. All equipment used is to be maintained to a national standard, i.e., line boats will need to conform to the regulations in Reference B.
Remote Berths
3. At Garelochhead (South) and (North) berths and the Glen Mallan Northern Ammunitioning Jetty (NAJ), line boat operations will be supported by suitably trained and qualified personnel.
4. At the Finnart Ocean Terminal, Briggs Marine are contracted in line handling duties in accordance with References A and B.
5. This General Direction will be reviewed by 06 Jan 25.
