1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the King’s Harbour Master Portsmouth that Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) trials will be conducted within the Dockyard Port of Portsmouth throughout the period 28 July - 31 December 2026.
2. The USV, of which there may be several, will be trialled in the Hill Head and Stokes Bay areas.
3. The designated trials period will be 24 hours daily and include the USV operating in remote and/or autonomous mode within the trials area. The USV will be towed on transit between the Hamble River and the trials location.
4. The USV is a grey monohulled vessel (LOA 6.0m) with designation ‘BRAVO’ or ‘RATTLER 1,2,3 – 7’. A 9.0m RHIB ‘MOUILLE POINT’ will act as the safety and support boat during the period of the trials. The safety vessel will maintain a position within 100m of the USV.
5. The safety vessel will be listening on VHF Ch 11/12.
6. All trials vessels will conform to the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGS) and The Dockyard Port of Portsmouth Order 2005.
7. Cancel this LNTM 31 December 2027.
