Regulations

The Regulations concerning fishing are complex with overlapping responsibilities of several authorities including KHM, the Environment Agency, Cornwall IFCA and Devon and Severn IFCA.

Within the Dockyard Port fishing is not permitted:

  • Within 100 metres of the Naval Base or any Ministry of Defence property
  • Within 150 metres of HM Ships, Auxiliaries, Foreign Warships or Auxiliaries
  • Within 125 metres either side of the deep water channels for vessels navigating through Plymouth Sound to the Hamoaze
  • In any area where anchorage is prohibited as shown on Admiralty chart
