PLYMOUTH LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS 024/26

MOUNT BATTEN ENGINEERING WORKS - INFORMATION

1. This notice is for information by the King’s Harbour Master (KHM) Plymouth pursuant to the Dockyard Port of Plymouth Order 2020 and is issued on behalf of the Cattewater Harbour Commissioners.
2. Engineering works will commence at the Mount Batten Water Sports Centre (approximate location 50°21.630’N 004°0.612’W) from Monday 16 February between 07:00 – 18:00 daily; comprising of the following (date are approximate):

   Temporary Pontoon Installation

   Monday 16 February to Friday 20 February

   Marine Construction Works

   Monday 23 February to Friday 19 June 2026. The works will involve new pontoon installation and piling.

   Diving Operations

   Throughout

3. Due to the presence of a potential hazards to navigation during the works mariners are requested to navigate with caution and pass at a safe distance using the main channel and minimise wash when passing vessels engaged in operations.
4. Appropriate shapes will be displayed as required by International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea.
