UNMANNED MARINE SYSTEMS

 

1. This notice is a General Direction from the King’s Harbour Master Plymouth (KHM) pursuant to the Dockyard Port of Plymouth (DPoP) Order 2020.

    

2. To effectively manage Unmanned Marine Systems (UMS) operating within the waters of the Dockyard Port of Plymouth (as defined in the DPoP Order 2020), the King’s Harbour Master has defined a UMS policy detailing operating and trials areas specific to UMS, together with a series of operational rules which are to be followed at all times, by all UMS.

    

3. This policy can be located within the Safety Policies and Codes area on the KHM Plymouth Website (https://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/khm/plymouth/safety-and-regulations/safety-policies-and-codes) or upon request from KHM.

    

4. All UMS operating within the DPoP are to be registered in accordance with the policy; registrations are to be renewed annually by 1^st Nov.

    

5. A multi-user email address has been created for all correspondence related to the operation of UMS within the DPoP.
