Find below the Regulations to allow the safe enjoyment of all water users.

Regulations

As detailed in the Dockyard Port Order 2011 and KHM Clyde's General Direction, swimming is regulated as follows in the Dockyard Port:

Otherwise than in accordance with a written permission granted by the King's Harbour Master, no person shall swim either on the surface or underwater:

  • within 200 metres of the walls, slipways or boundaries of a Crown Establishment;
  • within 250 metres of any of His Majesty’s vessels; or
  • where anchorage is prohibited.
