Swimming

Find below the Regulations to allow the safe enjoyment of all water users.

Regulations

As detailed in the Dockyard Port Order 2011 and KHM’s General Direction 12/22, swimming is regulated as follows in the Dockyard Port:

Otherwise than in accordance with a written permission granted by the King's Harbour Master, no person shall swim either on the surface or underwater:

  • within 200 metres of the walls, slipways or boundaries of a Crown Establishment;
  • within 250 metres of any of His Majesty’s vessels; or
  • where anchorage is prohibited.
