Rowing is a good all rounder which can help build muscle and increase your level of fitness. Make sure that the setting on the machine is not so heavy that you are straining, remember it's something that you can increase over time.
Sit with your knees bent and arms fully extended holding the rowing bar firmly with both hands.
Pull the rowing bar whist extending the legs until the bar touches the lower part of the chest and the legs are fully extended and you are sitting slightly back. Return to start position and continue.
