The regiment also has a diving team, who are trained to conduct sub-surface engineering tasks such as surveying rivers and beaches to identify suitable sites for bridging. In addition to their engineering role, the troops of Commando Engineers also carry out reconnaissance, signals, motor transport, and a variety of other tasks.
