HMS Scotia (Rosyth)

HMS Scotia the principal Royal Naval Reserve unit for the entire East of Scotland.

We maintain a close relationship with our local area and are proud to maintain naval links and traditions north and south of the Firth of Forth. Based within MOD Caledonia, the large Ministry of Defence Support Establishment at Rosyth, we have a convenient location which is easy to reach by either motorway network or national rail.

From our Rosyth base, we recruit and train Reservists from across Edinburgh, Fife and East Central Scotland. We also maintain a satellite unit, Tay Division in Dundee, which serves our northern catchment areas around Dundee, Perth and Aberdeen.

HMS Scotia is situated within the grounds of MOD Caledonia to the north of Rosyth Dockyard. It is approximately 2 miles from both the M90 and the mainline Inverkeithing railway station. A shuttle bus operates from the station on Training Nights and at weekends to take members of the ship’s company to and from the Unit.
