Dundee heritage
The RNVR establish a presence on the East coast of Scotland abroad HMS Unicorn.
Edinburgh presence
HMS Claverhouse formed as an RNVR training unit in the build up to WWII
MHQ Pitreavie
HQ Unit formed at Marine Headquarters Pitreavie Castle.
HMS Scotia
The unit adopts the name HMS Scotia.
Post Cold War
In the post Cold War defence review of 1994, the unit absorbed reservists from the closing Units of HMS Camperdown in Dundee and HMS Claverhouse in Edinburgh.
HMS Caledonia
HMS Caledonia Following the closure of the Maritime Headquarters HMS Scotia moved to its current location in 1996. It is situated within the grounds of HMS Caledonia, the Royal Naval Support Establishment.
Tay Division
Tay division is set-up re-establishing the RNR’s longstanding presence in Dundee.
