HMS Dalriada (Glasgow)

HMS Dalriada has a long and established history serving western Scotland and maintains strong links to Glasgow’s ship building past, present and future.

Role

The unit is Commanded by Lt Cdr Barry Stephen Royal Navy, who took command Oct, 2024. HMS Dalriada recruits and trains Reservists from across the West of Scotland. HMS Dalriada is located in Govan on the south side of Glasgow. It is 0.4 miles from the M8 and 1.5 miles from the Cardonald railway station. The Unit has secure car parking.

First commisioned

HMS Dalriada is first commissioned as an RNR Headquarters Unit for the Firth of Clyde and is based in the Navy Buildings in Greenock until 2013.

Current location

HMS Dalriada moves to its current location in Govan in south side of Glasgow.
