The Royal Marines Reserve unit in London draws recruits from across the South East of England.

Role

Led by Lt Col Alan Speedie, RMR London draws recruits from the South East of England. The unit is sub-divided into four detachments across the region with the main detachment in London located alongside the Headquarters. 
 
The three remaining detachments are based in Cambridge, Henley, and Portsmouth.

Royal Marines Forces Volunteer Reserve (RMFVR)

The City of London RMFVR were officially formed on the 5th November 1948 at a ceremonial parade on Bunhill Fields, the same place the Royal Marines were formed on 28th October 1664.
