HMS Spey (P234)

HMS Spey is the last of the five new Offshore Patrol Vessels built to replace the current River Class vessels.

Commanded by Commander Paul Caddy, HMS Spey is the fifth and final of the second-generation River Class Offshore Patrol Vessels built for the Royal Navy. HMS Spey is considered the greenest ship in the fleet.

Both HMS Spey and HMS Tamar represent the U.K.’s commitment to our persistent presence in the Indo Pacific. Spey is currently operating in South East Asia and the Indian Ocean supporting regional partners with anti-smuggling, fishery protection, border patrol and counter terrorism operations.
