HMS Archer (P264)

HMS Archer (P264) is the first of 16 Archer-class patrol vessels assigned to the Coastal Forces Squadron, providing maritime security and operations within Europe’s coastal waters. In line with her motto, she is the original and best. The Ship’s Company is made up of 5 sailors all originating from the North East and Scotland, providing strong roots to our primary area of operations.

Role

Led by Lieutenant Giles Gray RN, HMS Archer (P264) is part of Coastal Forces Squadron (EAST), running out of HMS CALLIOPE, Newcastle. Operating primarily in the North East of England and Scotland ARCR maintains links with her previous base port in Leith and facilitates training opportunities with local authorities to maintain strong relationships with peers in the region. Conducting numerous named operations in 2024 remains at the tip of the spear. The arrow never misses.
