Royal Navy appoints new finance director

Nick Donlevy has been appointed the new Finance Director of the Royal Navy.

The current Deputy Director, Health and Social Care in HM Treasury will join the Naval Service in February 2019 and is looking forward to the challenge ahead.

“I am delighted to have been selected to be the next Finance Director for the Royal Navy and I’m really looking forward to being part of the leadership team of the Royal Navy and of the wider Ministry of Defence finance community,” he said.

“I’m particularly looking forward to getting to know the Royal Navy by visiting ships, units and establishments and meeting as many people, as possible, civilian and military, over the coming months.”

Second Sea Lord, Vice Admiral Tony Radakin, said: “I look forward to welcoming Nick and working with him over the coming months as we continue to work towards delivering the Navy’s transformation programme and proposition.”

The University of Oxford alumnus has previously worked for the Strategy Finance Team in the Department for Education and will now be the authoritative source of financial management advice as well as being the Civilian Workforce Advisor for Navy Command.
