The evening’s concert to celebrate 100 years of the formation of the RAF was a resounding success from start to finish

Band Colour Sergeant Dave Edwards, the current Bandmaster

"The HMS Collingwood Royal Navy Volunteer Band performed admirably and received a generous number of compliments from the event organisers as well as all who attended. It was great to see such a full concert hall providing a platform/opportunity to support such a milestone event. What better way to celebrate 100 years of aviation than with some patriotic music.”

The event took place in Abbey Hall, Netley Abbey, Southampton, a small community hall filled with 130 people.

The evening’s events consisted of an eclectic mix of concert band music with of course RAF music being the main focus.
