a place for everyone
Find your way into Winter Sport:
RN Team Selection:
High-performing personnel at RN Snowsports events are scouted for Representative team selection. Top athletes can then progress further to compete for the UK Armed Forces and Great Britain.
Instructor Pathways:
Telemark, Alpine, Nordic skiing and Snowboarding follow NGB accredited qualifications. Most RN snow and ice sports offer NGB qualifications supported by official funding, while others rely on experienced members for development.
Hill Teams:
Volunteers are welcomed into Alpine, Telemark, and Snowboarding roles to learn officiating duties ranging from gate judging to race management. This path offers progression to high-level Technical Delegate roles that oversee both Navy and Great Britain races.
RNWSA Committee:
To support annual events, all ranks and abilities welcome, it’s a passion for sport that we look for and personnel wanting to aid the development of all association activities.
