URNU Glasgow and it's hardworking staff facilitates the personal growth of its officer cadets, whether they decide to join the Royal Navy or not, through the wide range of student led opportunities available. You can challenge your limits in a supportive space alongside your friendly "oppos" - some personal favourites include adventure training like canyoning, learning to navigate on a naval platform, and presenting at an international military forum. I also love meeting all those who come through the unit, as you get to make friends across universities, course and year groups. Exposing myself to these experiences and perspectives have definitely made me a better communicator and leader, as well as a more organised and proactive individual - this is true of all my peers as they progress through their time here.
