Chaplaincy Service
The Naval Chaplaincy Service is a community of faith and belief leaders from a variety of traditions, dedicated to giving pastoral care and spiritual and moral leadership to the men and women of the Naval Service and their dependants.

Role of Chaplains
As a 'friend and advisor to all' Chaplains serve those who serve our country, both at sea and ashore. Chaplains are uniquely able to connect with Royal Navy Personnel at the heart of their working lives, exercising pastoral care in all kinds of places, in times of peace and in times of conflict. They also play an integral part in giving support to the families of Royal Navy personnel.
In addition to providing pastoral care and ethical and moral guidance, Chaplains lead services of prayer or reflection according to their faith and belief tradition.
