Aim
Mandatory PJT for all RN officers and ratings before proceeding to sea for the first time.
Course details
Topics covered include:
- Firefighting organisation, equipment and techniques (1 day)
- Practical firefighting (1.5 day)
- Sea survival theory and practical drills (1 day)
- CBRNDC theory, organisation, communications, states and conditions (0.5 day)
- Practical damage control (0.5 day)
- CBRN Protection, collective and Individual Protective Equipment (IPE) and CBRN Drills (0.5 day)
Qualifications gained
- MCA Certificate in ‘Personal Survival Techniques’ and ‘Fire Prevention and Firefighting’
NOTES:
Course includes practical drills in CBRN (in a CS gas environment), firefighting, damage control and sea survival.
