Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity

The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity is the principal charity of the Royal Navy. It exists to support sailors, marines and their families, for life.

Its Group of charities includes The Royal Marines Charity, The Royal Navy Officers’ Charity and The Naval Service Sports Charity.

Since 2007, it has funded projects and facilities that boost morale for those who serve today. It also distributes millions of pounds annually to military charities which care for the children, families and veterans of the Naval Service.

Conference of Naval Associations (CONA)

CONA is a loose federation of like-minded naval associations who believe in working together for the benefit of their members. 

The Second Sea Lord is the ex officio President of the Conference.

Royal Naval Association (RNA)

The RNA are a family of current and former Naval Service personnel, relatives and supporters of our country's Royal Navy. Whether the RNA are catching up with friends at regular social events; fundraising; advising on welfare and employment matters, or just providing an arm around the shoulder, their natural willingness to help others stems from the tradition and camaraderie that only Naval Service life can instil.

The Confederation of Service Charities (COBSEO)

Cobseo, as the Confederation of Service Charities, provides a single point of contact for interaction with Government, including local government and the Devolved Administrations; with the Royal Household; with the Private Sector; and, of course, with other members of the Armed Forces Community. This allows Cobseo members to interact with all interested parties and especially to cooperate and collaborate with others in order to provide the best possible level of support to our beneficiaries.

It relies on public donations to support its work in restoring, maintaining and flying an unequalled collection of rare and historically significant naval aircraft. Sea Cadets

Whether at sea or on land, Sea Cadets offers young people between 10 and 18 an environment where they can find new confidence and inspiration, through nautical adventure. Across the UK 14,000 young people are challenging themselves and learning new skills based on the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy to give them the best possible head start life.

National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN)

The National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN) is the umbrella organisation which manages The Royal Marines Museum, The NMRN Portsmouth, The Royal Navy Submarine Museum, the Fleet Air Arm Museum, Explosion! Museum of Naval Firepower and HMS Victory.  The NMRN has a simple Vision, ‘to be the world’s most respected Naval Museum, underpinned by a spirit of enterprise and adventure”. Our Goal is, to promote the traditions and public understanding of the Royal Navy and its constituent branches, past, present and future’.

Greenwich Hospital

Greenwich Hospital is a 300 year-old Royal Naval Crown Charity. It disburses £6m annually to 25,000 serving and retired Naval Service personnel and their families, including Educational bursaries, Sheltered Housing, Charitable payments and grants, both directly and also through our partnership with the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.
