A Celebration of Duty

‘A Celebration of Duty’ campaign commends Royal Navy personnel and veterans who are going above and beyond their daily jobs to make a real difference in their local community. True-life accounts where the Navy doesn’t teach a sense of duty, it just helps you find yours.

The People

Our Video Production Unit

The Royal Navy Video Production Unit (VPU) is a team of exceptionally highly skilled Royal Navy and Royal Marines videographers who lead in the production of high-quality, inspiring, cinematic content.

The VPU have been at the forefront of all the major events of our time, tasked with the most important duty of all: to document history and the role that the Royal Navy plays in it, to tell the stories of our people through a carefully curated creative lens.

Their previous work includes film productions about Remembrance, Christmas, Armed Forces Week, and The King’s Coronation.

Working on the production for A Celebration of Duty has been an excellent opportunity for us as Royal Navy Photographers to really stretch our legs creatively and gain valuable insight working with industry professionals throughout the production process. It’s amazing to have the chance to bring these stories to a broader audience and show the kind of people that make up our armed forces.
