Your future: The smart choice

The variety of opportunities available to Royal Navy officers is incredibly broad. In fact, there are so many options available for you to pursue, no two officers have the same experience. So whether you see your future delivering humanitarian aid to war-torn communities, or working on unprecedented propulsion systems, you’ll find the Royal Navy’s doors are always open.

What is an Officer?

The Royal Navy is comprised of ‘ratings’ and ‘officers’. In civilian terms, officers take on management responsibility, and ratings can be seen as the workforce.
