Cutlass Class

Intended to patrol naval and territorial waters around Gibraltar, the new Cutlass Class will replace the Archer Class vessels currently in service.

Fast and accommodating

There are two Cutlass Class vessels in active service with the Royal Navy, HMS Cutlass and HMS Dagger. These vessels are powered by a Volvo D13-100 diesel engine coupled to three MJP350X Series water-jets and, along with a dedicated stowage compartment, can accommodate six crew members and a further six passengers.

Identifying threats

Cutlass Class vessels are equipped with the latest electronic and optical equipment to help identify potential threats. This includes the CGI OpenSea360 maritime mission system, which relays mission-critical information and additional data to the crew.
